And I met all these amazing people coming out of Saskatchewan Joan Borsa, Cindy Schwaless, Lynne Bell (**all these names are typed phonetically) different people, Helen Marzolf and I sort of became fascinated with their sense of identity, how much they felt they belonged there. And I was this kid from six generations downtown Toronto and I didn’t feel I belonged to Toronto at all. But Toronto is a, a shape shifting, constantly transforming place. And when I went to the Maritimes at first people really resented you if you were from Toronto in fact. So I started adopting different identities I think. I would say I was from Halifax. People would then be really great. And the next time I met someone I’d say I was from Toronto and they’d be really not great. So I, I started playing with that. I started taking on the idea that I would study Saskatchewan as a exotic state.
