1992: Echo Valley Conference Centre

In 1992, the SPMC (Saskatchewan Property Management Corporation) took over the former Fort San and developed a partnership with the New Careers Corporation and the Department of National Defense.

New Careers provides training for persons on social assistance in construction, hospitality, and job searches at the Echo Valley Conference Centre, while National Defense utilizes the facility each summer to train sea cadets.

The innovative re-use of the San has allowed Saskatchewan to retain the historic site and make it accessible to the public.
